We are seeking highly motivated and results-oriented individuals to join our dynamic team in the positions of Quality Assurance Officer and Enrolled Nurse.

JOB TITLE: Quality Assurance Officers (3)

Reports To: Study Coordinator
Duty Stations: Mildmay Uganda (1 position), Lira RRH (1 position), and Hoima RRH (1 position)
Supervises: Nurses, Data Officers, Clinicians, and Lab Scientists
Contract Terms: 1 Year (Renewable)

Job Summary:

The position holder will support the Uganda Pediatric and Adolescent HIV Antiretroviral Therapy (UPART) Cohort study at the assigned duty station, focusing on data collection and storage. Additionally, they will assist the Data Officer in resolving data queries, managing study documentation, and ensuring effective implementation of study protocols.

Expected Key Result Area:

  • Ensure the quality execution of all aspects of the UPART study in accordance with the approved study protocol, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, and relevant regulatory requirements.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Minimum qualification of a Diploma in Clinical Medicine, Nursing, or a related field.
  • Valid registration/license from the appropriate regulatory authority.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a busy research institution.
  • Strong background in handling study participants with a focus on confidentiality and ethical conduct.
  • Training in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Human Subject Protection (HSP) is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of HIV/AIDS care and management will be considered an added advantage.

 

JOB TITLE: Enrolled Nurses (3)

Reports To: Study Coordinator
Duty Stations: Mildmay Uganda (1 position), Lira RRH (1 position), Hoima RRH (1 position)

Job Summary:

The position holder will support the setup of the Uganda Pediatric and Adolescent HIV Antiretroviral Therapy (UPART) Cohort study, including the screening, consenting, and counseling of participants enrolled in the study.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Certificate in Nursing with a valid registration/license from the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a busy research setting.
  • Focus on study-related data collection and handling of study participants while maintaining confidentiality and ethical conduct.
  • Training in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Human Subject Protection (HSP) is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of HIV/AIDS care and management is considered an added advantage.

Job Summary:
The position holder will provide essential administrative support to the Research Centre, ensuring efficient and effective operations. Key responsibilities include handling correspondence, managing documents and records, and supporting various research activities.

Key Result Areas:

  • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to the Research Centre.
  • Grants Administration: Assist in managing grants and related documentation.
  • Correspondence Management: Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence efficiently.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Experience & Knowledge:
    • Proven experience in administrative roles.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
