Job Summary: The Theatre Assistant will support the delivery of high-quality theatre services by ensuring the operating theatre is adequately prepared and maintained for surgical procedures. The role involves promoting patient safety, managing theatre equipment, instruments, and supplies, maintaining aseptic standards, supporting continuous professional development, and maintaining accurate records to ensure positive patient outcomes.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Certificate in Theatre Techniques or an equivalent qualification.
  • Registered and licensed by the relevant professional regulatory body.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in a reputable hospital, specifically within an operating theatre environment.
  • Basic knowledge of HIV/AIDS care and management.
  • Proficiency in English and at least one or more local language.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and infection prevention standards.
