Empowering Household Livelihoods through Economic Strengthening, Gender Equity, and Social Protection, and Community Systems Strengthening

“Through our economic strengthening experience involving over 6,250 vulnerable households and 1,200,000 individuals, we now believe that vulnerable households have the innate capacity to transform if catalyzed by evidence-based support.

Our program places a strong emphasis on fostering economic growth and stability within households. Through skill development, entrepreneurship training, and access to financial resources, we empower individuals to generate income, create opportunities, and break the cycle of poverty. By promoting economic independence, we contribute to healthier and more prosperous communities.

At the heart of our program lies the strengthening of community systems. By fostering collaboration among local organizations, governments, and stakeholders, we create a supportive environment that nurtures household livelihoods. Through capacity building, advocacy, and resource-sharing, we amplify the impact of our efforts and enhance the overall well-being of communities.

Gender equity and social protection are integral to our program’s mission. We strive to eliminate gender-based disparities and provide targeted support to vulnerable populations. By ensuring equal access to opportunities, resources, and protection, we work towards building a more inclusive and just society. Our focus on social safety nets and support systems further bolsters resilience and well-being.

Economic livelihood entails ensuring that individuals not only meet their fundamental survival requirements but also have the means to generate sustainable income and acquire assets for their future needs. When this essential foundation is lacking, children may abandon their education to work, and households often plunge into impoverishment.

Through our economic strengthening experience involving over 6,250 vulnerable households and 1,200,000 individuals, we now believe that vulnerable households have the innate capacity to transform if catalyzed by evidence-based support. This informs our approach: harnessing local resources and empowering those we aim to assist, fostering economic resilience. Nevertheless, a distressing reality persists numerous individuals, with a specific emphasis on women and children, encounter formidable challenges in advocating for their rights and raising their voices, frequently facing discrimination from the very entities entrusted with their protection.
