As an accredited institution of higher learning by the National Council of Higher Education, Mildmay aims to model quality and sustainable prevention, care and treatment systems.
We do this through our in-service training and education programs. Over the years, we have imparted knowledge and skills to over 30,000 health and non-health professionals. Both local studentsand international students have been empowered to develop and manage programmes for addressing HIV and other priority health issues in Uganda and in the sub-Saharan region.

To build competencies of health and social care providers in the provision, management and support of integrated prevention, care and treatment of HIV and other health priorities
To build knowledge, skills and attitudes of health care providers in the provision, management and support of integrated prevention, care and treatment of HIV/AIDS and other health priorities in Uganda and in the sub-Saharan region.
- To build knowledge, skills and attitudes in integrated prevention, care and treatment for adults and children in HIV and other health priorities, for health & non-health workers; aimed at strengthening health and community systems;
- To design innovative training and education interventions and approaches in line with HIV and other health priorities so as to maintain the relevance of Mug Training & Education Directorate;
- To contribute to the sustainability of MUg by generating income from Training & Education activities and through leveraging of national, regional and international partnerships;
